About

Georgia trained as a painter and although many of her own ceramics are simple, organic and unadorned forms she also loves the spontaneity of painting directly onto the pots before firing.
She uses a variety of techniques and glazes on hand built and hand-thrown ceramics working in earthenware, stoneware and porcelain.

Georgia Loizou

Georgia studied Fine Art at Hornsey College of Art and after graduating did a post-graduate course in Graphic Design at the London College of Printing.
She then worked at Mighty Mouse Studio producing posters, book jackets, corporate identities and record sleeves.
She also designed knitwear and travelled extensively designing collections for many companies around the world.
Eventually, she returned to England to work in film and as a stylist for directors and photographers on major campaigns.
At this time she started making ceramics.

Georgia’s ceramics are available at 8 Holland Street.
